About my work

I taught myself to knit during quarantine, which was my first foray into craft, and I learned crochet shortly after. My first filet crochet piece was a tapestry for my now boyfriend, which I started after our second date.

Many of my crochet pieces are about God. Crafting requires full integration of mind and body, dissolving their supposed separation. The resulting focused state is akin to meditation.

Each piece takes 20-50 hours and the time is spent well in prayer and devotion. Therefore, the subject matter and processes align.
